I took this shot at the former British Consulate (back to 1865, Ching Dynasty) in Kaohsiung, southern Taiwan today. The consulate has become a historic site for ages, and I don't know who the consul and the diplomat were. But I could recognize the tea set was Wedgwood. Some history had better be kept in the books and our memories, but I really hope Wedgwood, the British firm that makes beautiful pottery/china, will keep going for generations and generations. (Influenced by the global financial crisis last year, Wedgwood experienced some difficulty-I remember reading the news in January, but I believe nothing could stop the company from creating beautiful stuff for the world.)
